A Mother’s Reflection on Balance, Beauty, and the Power of Community
As I walk along the beach, feeling the sand between my toes and the ocean breeze in my hair, I’m reminded of the beauty and wonder that surrounds us. The waves crashing against the shore, the cries of seagulls overhead, and the warmth of the sun on my skin all combine to stir my creativity and inspire my design work.As a mother to 7 and a Mimi to 8 (and counting!), I’ve learned to appreciate the beauty in the everyday moments, too. Watching my children and grandchildren grow and learn, seeing the world through their eyes, and experiencing the joy and wonder of discovery alongside them – these are the things that inspire me to create solutions that are both functional and beautiful. Whether it’s a brand identity, social media strategy, or software solution, I aim to bring a sense of elegance and harmony to every project, just as the ocean brings a sense of peace and tranquility to my soul. But I know I’m not alone in this journey. To all the fellow freelancing, homeschooling, and mom readers out there, I see you. I know the struggles of balancing work and family, of feeling like you’re not doing enough, of wondering if you’re making a difference. But I want you to know that you are not alone. And on those days when the tide feels overwhelming, when the waves of responsibility crash against the shore of your soul, I invite you to join me on this virtual beach walk.Let’s sit in the sand together, watch our children play, and remember that the little things we do right truly outweigh the times we feel like we fail. Let’s celebrate the small victories, the tiny moments of beauty in the everyday, and the grace that washes over us with each new tide.
Just as the ocean leaves us with a blank canvas each day, so too do our lives offer us a fresh start, a chance to paint a new masterpiece, to create something beautiful.
So let’s take a deep breath, feel the sand between our toes, and remember that we are not alone. We are a community of women, of moms, of creatives, and of dreamers. And together, we can face whatever the tide brings our way.
