Ms. Cerise  ·  Student Academic Support for Homeschool families

Real life is learning.
I help your student prove it.

Turn “Why Do I Need to Learn This?” into Confidence. I help students connect school to real life and real life back to standards. Empowering students to explain their progress with clarity and see the direct application of their studies in the real world.

THE CHALLENGE

Your student is learning every day.
Showing it in a way their charter school accepts is the hard part.

  • Real life is their classroom but nothing looks like “school work” on paper
  • Their curriculum is faith-based and their charter school won’t accept it as a work sample
  • They follow an online program but can’t explain what they’re actually learning
  • The work is getting done but they freeze when their teacher asks them to speak to it

Homeschool portfolio support that puts the student in the driver’s seat.

The Solution

What students develop working with Ms. Cerise

Through guided academic support, students build the skills
to recognize what they’re learning, connect it to academic
standards, and explain their own growth: in their own words,
with confidence!

Document the Learning

Students develop habits for capturing their learning as it
happens (notes, photos, reflections, project recaps)
so nothing is lost and everything counts.

Connect to Standards

Students learn to identify the academic skills inside their
real experiences and connect what they’re doing to the
subjects and standards that define their education.

Understand the “Why”

Students stop asking “when will I ever use this?” and start
seeing the purpose behind their learning: building the kind
of academic confidence that shows up everywhere.

Show the Learning

Students learn to speak to their own growth clearly. Explaining what they did, what they learned, and why it
matters, in a way their teacher, their family, and they
themselves can be proud of.

“Education is a natural process spontaneously carried out by the human individual, and is acquired not by listening to words but by experiences upon the environment.”

— Maria Montessori

Where We Begin

Every student starts here, with a conversation, not a commitment.

Homeschool mom reviewing her student's learning path

Tell me a little about your student.

Tell me how your student learns, what curriculum or activities they use, what feels hardest for you as the parent, and the biggest goal you have for your student.

I’ll read through your answers personally and let you know how I can help your student turn what they are already learning into clear, usable evidence for your charter school records or personal portfolios.

Families hoping to use charter funds can also share which charter they use and whether they want updates about vendor approval or funding options.

No perfect documentation needed. No specific curriculum required. No commitment required.

How it works

Helping Students Document and Explain What They’ve Learned

Students share photos, notes, curriculum work, activities, or voice recordings. Ms. Cerise provides weekly guidance and creates personalized reflection pages students can complete, print, and use as evidence of learning.

FAQ

What does Student Learning & Documentation Support look like?

It is weekly support to help your student organize learning evidence, reflect on what they are doing, and connect real-life experiences back to academic standards.

Is this the same thing as tutoring?

No. I do not replace your student’s curriculum, tutor, teacher, or HST. I help students explain what they are already learning and turn it into clearer evidence of progress.

Can this help with charter school work samples?

Yes. The goal is to help students create organized, student-written reflections that may be used as learning evidence. Families should always follow their school and HST requirements.

What does my student need?

Your student will need internet access, a device, a Google account or approved login option, and permission to access online learning materials such as videos, documents, and guided prompts.

Do you accept charter school funds?

I am working toward becoming available through charter vendor options. Please fill out the Charter Funds Interest Form, and I’ll let you know when options are available for your charter school.

Ready to make your student’s learning visible?

Empower your student to own their academic journey and articulate their growth with confidence.
